Design and Data Analytics PIA: Modeling the underlying biological processes using a multivariate competing risk joint model

Motivated by data from a prodromal Alzheimer’s disease trial, in this webinar a proposal for a new multivariate joint model in which longitudinal brain imaging and memory outcomes are allowed to be associated with time to using open-label medication and dropout, and to affect another directly is made. It is shown that the proposed model provides a framework for assessing mediation to understand the underlying biological processes.
