Immunity and Neurodegeneration PIA: Peripheral and Central Immune System Crosstalk in Alzheimer’s Disease

Recorded: February 8, 2022

Immune system dysfunction is considered a core feature of Alzheimer’s disease, with dysregulation in both central and peripheral compartments observed in research studies. In this webinar, we review evidence for peripheral and central immune system crosstalk in aging and Alzheimer’s disease, from the lens of both animal and human studies. We highlight literature on both innate and adaptive immunity and discuss potential next steps to move the field forward.
