Target Audience: This activity is intended to meet the educational needs of primary care clinicians including internists, family physicians, radiologists, neurologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and psychologists who are seeking additional education in the assessment, diagnosis and ongoing health care of patients with cognitive impairment and dementia.
Statement of Purpose: A practice gap is the difference between what healthcare professionals should or could be doing and what they are currently doing. Using current evidence based research to bridge the gap between patient care and care recommendation, the Alzheimer's Association is ensuring healthcare professionals are not only aware of current practice but are utilizing them in patient care settings.

Continuing Physician Assistant Education:
Postgraduate Institute for Medicine has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 0.5 Category 1 CME credits per episode. Approval is valid until 1/8/2026. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
